Sr. Financial Analyst (Business Development)

Details: Title: Sr. Financial Analyst  (Business Development)Purpose:  This position will partner with the Surfactant Marketing team to ensure both sales and profit objectives are achieved.   This position will have responsibility for improving the financial analysis used to manage the global surfactant division.   The Sr. Financial Analyst must have a thorough understanding of advanced financial analysis techniques and the ability to provide meaningful data interpretation. They are required to communicate well both orally and in writing, as they will provide strong support to the Management Team toward attaining financial and operational objectives. Key Accountabilities: •         Global coordination for creating the Three Year Plan Financial Forecast •         Pricing cost model creation,  management and automation•         Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.•         Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc analysis for business units. •         Develop recommendation toward improving profitability, return on capital and business processes; participates in detailed tracking and implementation thereof. Analyze current and past trends, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures. •         Executes action –oriented analysis of product pricing and product mix to support future sales and margin growth•         Merge and optimize Three Year Plan/ Budget/ Profit Projection/ Forecasting processes•         Collaborate with Finance in the development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools. General Expectations:•         Be a trusted high value-add member of the Sales& Marketing team. •         Ability to evaluate and challenge sources of data and analytical conclusions for accuracy•         Go beyond the numbers and pro-actively helping to influence decisions that go along with them through value-added analysis•         Understanding of business implications and to proactively work to solve problems and deliver results•         Ability to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis and other quantitative evaluation of proposed strategic and tactical changes to current business operationsQualifications:•         Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; MBA highly preferred•         5+ years experience in financial planning and analysis•         Business acumen- strong business analysis and judgment, make sound decisions/recommendations•         Chemical Industry specific experience preferred•         Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP); solid accounting skills preferred•         Strong leadership skills required•         Self-starter- inquisitive, high energy•         Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized•         Ability to think creatively, ability to recommend new processes, new data management/ analysis methods, etc. •         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills•         Ability to work across functions and groups in a fast paced, changing environment•         Strong MS Office skills with hands-on Advanced Excel and PowerP8oint skills. •         Familiarity with SAP and other industry Finance systems/analytical software a major plus~cb~
