SummaryThe Federal/Civil Government Business Development/Capture Executive is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business development and sales strategy that will contribute to meeting and exceeding DigitalGlobe’s 5 year revenue growth plan for the U.S. Federal Civilian government market. Focus is on the sale and delivery of information solutions. These solutions will leverage DigitalGlobe’s (DG) overhead satellites, aerial imagery, value-added products, and a wide range of services using DigitalGlobe’s Cloud services. Cloud services include monitoring, analysis, and hosting.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops and manages a pipeline that supports DigitalGlobe’s 5 year revenue growth plan by identifying, qualifying, shaping, pursuing, teaming, and winning strategically relevant business opportunitiesEnsuring post-win customer satisfaction; includes working closely with DG’s operations teamsContinually interfaces and builds positive win-win relationships with customers and business partners; activity includes developing and maintaining account plans; understanding customer challenges and developing high-value solutionsIntimate U.S. Federal Civil Government customer knowledge, market and workflow understanding, and competitive intelligenceRepresents customer perspectives on capture/proposal teams, strategy reviews and ensures customer feedback is used to develop future product roadmapsActive involvement with DigitalGlobe’s capture and proposal development staff to include win strategy development, competitive analysis and teaming assessments.Requirements5+ years business development, capture, and sales experience in winning programs >$5M with the Federal/Civil GovernmentRelationships with senior and middle management levels of U.S. Federal Civilian agenciesThorough working knowledge of the Federal procurement processUnderstands US Federal / Civil government geospatial and multi-int missions, requirements, capabilities, contract vehicles, and operations needed to proactively develop business opportunities that align with DigitalGlobe’s products and services Proven track record building winning solutions to include teaming strategy and negotiating with potential team members and customersDeep knowledge of geospatial solutions and productsSignificant strategy development and management experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant fieldStrong leadership and organization capabilitiesPartnership development (including negotiation) capabilitiesSelf-motivated with ability to work in an unstructured environment Strong analytical skills needed to asses customer needs and develop solutions that have significant value propositions Strong interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communications skills using English languageCompensationOur compensation package includes: competitive base salary; annual incentive plan with payouts based on results; choice of medical plan; dental, life and disability insurance; employee assistance program; flexible spending accounts; a 401(K) plan with a competitive company match; tuition reimbursement; 10 paid holidays and 4 weeks paid time off.
