PURPOSE: • Responsible for developing a pipeline of customers focused on higher-level electronics integration, where pcba and metal fab are used as support/enablers. Will be accountable for evaluating, managing and closing/winning these new business opportunities for the Plano, TX location. • Performs local and regional market analysis, monitors and reports on competitive activity and identifies customer needs in the product and services life cycle and communicates these needs in a concise reporting method. • Responsible for new customer financial and technological qualifications. • Responsible for assessing and determining customer fit. • Drives new customer request for quotations (RFQ’s) for alignment, completeness and quality in accordance with Flextronics requirements and summarizes for the internal quote launch. • Seeks and provides required inputs to ensure the quote efforts are successful in winning the new business opportunity. Responsible for completion and presentation of the RFQ, acts as the customer contact and presents the final quote to win the new business opportunity. • Oversees business relationship between the customers and Flextronics operational disciplines. • Provides site tours, site and Company presentations, carries forward company culture. • Must be clear and concise in determining customer expectations and relaying this information to the internal disciplines involved. • Must be able to establish and manage customer expectations consistent with Company operational metrics and goals. • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and established goals to meet objectives. • Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives, schedules, and closing new business. • Exercises sound judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting and recruiting new customers. • Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers. • Interacts with Senior and Executive Management. • Participates with other managers to establish strategic business development plans and objectives. • Responsible for negotiating MSA (Manufacturing Services Agreement) and any other documentation, subject to appropriate approvals. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES: 6-8+ years sales experience in developing and selling for a metal fab environment, inclusive of contract manufacturing. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills are necessary. Excellent presentation skills. Strong familiarity with spreadsheets, word processing and database application software required. Use of salesforce.com and other sales management and market analysis software tools required. Strong operational knowledge of metal fabrication, printed circuit board assembly, system integration, test and logistics services required.
